I know there is a thread on how to tell the difference in cams but I couldn't quite understand how the threads and stuff match. So here is mine, went in to a machine shop to see about getting an fittings and walked out with what the machinist claimed as some kinda of b series r cam, I personally have a pretty much stock GS-R but if its free stuff then it's free money virtually.

From the blurry pic looks like a 96 spec ITR cam

 

I was gonna say it looks like a google cam. but then you went and ruined the fun.

 

There are groves on the outer part of it by the distributor notch.

 

Then it could be a 98 spec R cam

 

Either way it is a type r cam, correct?

 

I'm thinking its an 89-91 b16 cam, just want an.other opinion.
