So I've always had a very very minor oil leak on my 95 gsr so I put a cardboard below the oil pan on the ground so see where most of it would be coming from so when it leaks it leaves spots in random places from my oil pan with about 5-6 drops over night. I didn't think too much of it and I let it be for about another but last night when I got home I dropped my keys and saw that my car was leaking a grip. When I looked under my car no jacked up I saw most of it coming from above the oil pan lug and over time it traveled down along my cat and of course I started to smell burnt oil and saw smoke arising from under my hood. I haven't really jacked up my car yet to see where it could possibly be coming from and I first thought maybe its my oil filter or my oil pan gasket since all around my gasket it's wet with oil. I'm currently waiting for my car to cool down to jack it up find the source and replace the gasket and tighten the filter if needed. Anyone have any ideas? Really could use any thoughts before getting my hands dirty and last thing it only leaks when the car is running and after its turned off and the oil is hot. Thanks guys
Well the only thing I can tell you with out having a picture is that it's a pressurized leak and the laws of gravity still apply so start looking high. Good luck.
