Default Speakers cut out when turning the ignition. Wtf...

Okay, so I've been at this for the last four hours and I just can't figure it out. I have a 93 Honda Prelude S, and the speakers cut in and out when turning the key in the ignition. It never works when the car is running. The stereo itself is still on, but is producing no sound. I've checked and rechecked the wiring and it's all wired up well and good. Everything is grounded like it should be. It just started suddenly without any apparent cause and now I'm just... stumped at this point. Please help!
