Identifying a K motor by color
Hi i am new to this and i have been searching for this for a couple of days and i am breaking my head.
The thing is i own a 1994 two door DC4 with a B18C1 and i like it but it needs a lot of work, so much in fact i believe is better for me to upgrade to a DC5, but it all depends on what the Lord has stored for me (Yes I am a Christian).
So i am looking in the local market (on internet) and i find one that looks perfect and has an engine swap to a K24 but the advertisement, does not specify the whole engine PN, the only thing i can identify is the Blue Valve Cover and that it looks like a K engine.
Can anyone tell me what engine is.
I will post the picture later.

Valve cover (engine cover) color has nothing to do with whether a motor is k20, k24, etc.. People get their valve covers painted different colors all the time so, do not put any emphasis on the color of the valve cover. OEM K series valve covers were offered in silver and red only, IIRC.
Ask for pictures of the stamping on the block, head, and the side cover sticker; those will tell you which model K series engine is in that car.

I thought this was a standard K engine since the valve cover looks standard.
The thing is the car is far from where i live and i want it to know what type of K24 engine was before making the decision of going to see it.

That is a K series engine. It looks like a k24a2 motor that was offered in Acura TSX (USDM) due to the intake manifold, better known as the RBB manifold, that came stock on k24a2. k24a2 motors come stamped k24a2, and the head comes stamped RBB; the sticker on the side cover should also say k24a2.
The RBB manifold might've been offered on other K variants as well but here inthe US it was offered on k24a2 only. What country/region are you from/in?
