having trouble installing b16a trans wont slide into place
i have a 95 civic hatch with a b16a that im having troubles getting the trans input shaft to slide into the clutch disc and flywheel does anyone have any tips for me thanks
they are aligned i used the alignment tool and it goes in no problem but i just cant get the trans input shaft in lol
Like civ said, start off by making sure your clutch is aligned correctly. Second (and yes, this will sound stupid) make sure you actually have a B series transmission.
Was anything done to the transmission while it was out of the car? How was it left sitting? Does it feel smooth when you turn it by hand?

i checked and clutch is aligned correctly and the trans sat on a tire off the ground for awhile still spins freely and such it came off this car while i built the engine so it is a b series trans
As long as it wasn't sitting on the input shaft, you should be fine.
Will it not slide in at all, or is it just the final "click" you're having a hard time with?

it feels like it wont go in at all i think i just dont have it at the right angle or something but even when its at the same angle it dosnt want to go in haha

I use an engine hoist to put my trannys in.
Lots better than trying to lift it by hand and not having the correct angle so the splines line up.
I can be a beotch!

Like everyone else is saying here and make sure the dowels line up too. I had a dowel that was messed up and the tranny wouldnt go in for the world.
