Default Stupid mistake, need help

Sooooo my dad trying to be nice decided to hookup my ebay fog lights i ordered while i was at work. He is a mechanic for 37 years but electrical is not exactly his strong point. He decided to try and wire the car, not unplugging the battery and blew something in my dash because now only half of my dash lights up. He said he saw a burst of smoke from under the dash. But now everything from 80mph to the right is out. I know its not a fuse because the whole dash and center console is on one, so I'm thinking it's a tracing wire to the gauge cluster. I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had a similar issue and if so how i can go about fixing it. I really need the help so please if you know reply. Thanksss

I heard of this happening to a lot of members who wired up the Ebay fogs directly and didn't run a relay. You fried your cluster I'm willing to bet.

Start looking for a new cluster unless you're good at soldering and repairing the fried circuits in your cluster. Being as your dad is going to be paying for it, the Type-R cluster is probably out of your budget.
