i just got a boosted 99 ls its a gsr body and tran with ls b18 its got a chipped and socketed p28 can i run this on a ls motor or should i got with p75 i was told if its sockeded i can cuz vtec has different pinouts . she just had a new turbo put on but not yet tuned so she idles funny untill warmed up .. any help guys

 

its also got jumper harness so im not sure if its obd1 or 2

 

Run the chipped p28. You need to get a basemap for it so you can get it to a tuner. Or just tow it to a tuner and get it tuned.

 

Drive to tuner, let them fix it, no brainer.

The car is OBDI btw and the P28 should leave you throwing a code for VTEC system malfunction though since you're running a B1.

 

Can I tune with hondata or is it better to bring to tuner shop. And will the p28 mess with idle

 

Will tuner get rid of cel code cuz it is throwing it

 

What is the error code?

 

Probably a good idea to let someone else tune it for now since it doesn't really sound like you know much about it yet.
