i have a 08 civic si sc. driving one day and bang. my motor mount bolts broke in the head and broke tha casting ont the head. can i weld it? or suck it up and buy a z1head for cheap?

 

No weld.........usually. Cause the head heats up too much, and ruins the heat treat. But pics would help to know for sure. If you know what you are doing, you may be able to make it work. Doubt it though. and the crappy thing is, you wont know until you have it back on, and the gasket sinks, and you end up having to buy a new head. Maybe more.

 

head or block? usually the mount bolts up to the block.
