Default integra chassis disadvantage..

I finnaly got my car dyno tuned on hondata s100 yesterday! Made 209whp/145tq on dynojet. With a couple runs peaking 211whp, and 150.5twq but with midrange loss.

ls vtec
b18a 81.5mm pr3 pistons 11.7 est cr
b16 head port and polish supertech valvetrain, s2s2 cams
smsp rep header, 2.5 no cat, 3" sri with velocity stack, s2 intake mani port matched, hondata thermal gasket, str 68mm tb.

Weight reduction:
abs, rear wiper, plastics, speakers, rear bumper support, carpet, abs computer, cruise control and computer, lightweight wheels, act 9lb flywheel, spare tire. basically empty interior

My friend has a similar build but in a civic eg coupe but with stock valve train, gsr cams, and a dc 4-1 header with a/c full interior. He made 188whp and 140tq on dynojet.

We both have the same gsr transmission. Yet every time we race I lose....

fellow integra owners chime in!

I'm not saying i'm the best driver, but every shift was perfect. I even had a buddy drive my car and the same result.

Always a possibility.

Or maybe he has a better tranny?

Well dyno numbers are always relative. To really get at the heart of the matter, you should have both cars dyno'd at as close to the same time as possible, on the same day on the same dyno. Then get both cars weighed. A lot of trouble just to add to your heart ache, if you ask me.

well I believe the EJ is better for the drag but throw your cars on a circuit and then see if u are still mad about losing in a straight line. I doubt you will even remember losing in a drag race.

Ok so his car weighs 2300, what's your at? Tires can make a big difference too. What he said about the dyno is still true. If your buddy dynoed on a 100 degree day any you went in on a 70 degree day, your going to "make" more power then him on the same machine. Lastly, why don't you and your friend with the EG switch cars and try, that would be a true testament to the driver issue.

civics are lighter, your homie is skinny you're fat, you have almost have flat tires, your friend took a crap before the illegal street race, your integra looks better so it makes the civic look fast, you didn't wax your car so the integra had more drag, your friend jerks it more so he puts in more wrist action while shifting, or you jerk it to much so your wrist was hurting that day. toooo many things will cause this issue of being slower. my vote goes for civics are lighter weight and ugly while the integra is a sexy mini boat.

Switch cars and see if you can beat your own with his own car.

x1

also have to agree that civic EG chassis are just lighter for drag. but also, take it to the circuit and put your integra in its natural elements
