From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
^.
I miss mine. Sold it kinda cheap. I knew I was gonna miss it, but I never drove it and it was the car that made most sense to sell. Would never sell my S2000. Needed my DB8 to drive daily, and thru winters. Plus, I needed the garage space since my GF bought a S2000. The thingbI miss the most, are probably all the sounds the car made I think. It really sounded like the engine was in your lap. I'll probably buy another one next year or in a couple years now that I have my new job.
GLWS, OP. I sold mine to a member on here. Infact the 3 people that showed genuine interest were from here. People from craigslist sounded like they were either very dumb...or they were scumbags. I had people asking me to give them a more specific location on where the car was located. Like I was born yesterday. My ad did specify "no weirdos". So I just didn't reply to ghetto/weird emails.

If you know it's real value and can be patient then put it up and wait.
I agree that 16k is probably the sweet spot.

ebay is your best bet at getting top dollar for a car. everyone in the nation is looking at it
you CAN use it to unload a car quick but you can also have high min bids and your phone number in the auction for people to call
Most serious buyers will want to look at a car before purchasing. Pictures only go so far. It isn't uncommon for an ITR buyer to fly cross country look before buying. While neither are you are wrong, it's odd that you feel eBay is the best place to sell a car when there are other more established online markets for buying a car.

Thank you for all the input. I am in no rush to sell the car. It is almost never driven it and I don't even know the badge number off the top of my head. I will post it up with some more pics later today.

name one that has the kind of page views and search potential?
i'd love to know of a place with that kind of marketing power that only charges me $100 to sell a car
those are the only guys buying
for the ITR you basically have to be a cash buyer and have to be willing to pay up for the best compact of the 90s
most people don't realize what a reliable car this is and even at the age they are many of the well kept ones will just keep going and going. the electronics on the car are rock solid which leaves only wear and tear parts that go with mileage
if they weren't such theft magnets i'd get one for a run around beater. one of the better mpg to performance ratios out there

Man where was this ITR back in june when I baught mine. I would trade my jdm front spooned out 01 for a minty original and 10k less miles. Good luck with the sell hope she goes to a good home.

As far as the eBay thing, my largest complaint if you do want to put a higher starting price out there then you're paying that much more for each listing. Anybody that is in the market for an R and has done anything more than 4 minutes of homework would know that ITRCA is a great place to look. Make a post and let it sit as long as you would like.
I've personally had the best luck with Autotrader with non-ITR's that I've sold, pay the $60 or whatever for an unlimited AD and just let it set. I've never had to firesell a car though.
Yeah, amazing platform... Replace a distributor once every few years and you're done. I am about to temporarily convert my track car back to a stock'ish DD.

i hate ebay, but for car sales it's not bad. just don't sell clothes, cell phones or computers there
with car marketing i say do it all. autotrader, r forum, ebay, craigs. mass exposure gets the most people. itrca would be a great place as i would go there first if i was looking for one

As far as the two ITR's I've sold they've both came off H-T leads ironically enough. Both M3's have went by way of autotrader. Craigslist was able to generate the highest volume of annoying emails but never anything good.
Had no idea of the changed policy, good to know.
