Default do i need a 40/40 proportional valve?? please help.

Hi, I got a 89 Wagovan . Did a brake booster and MC swap off of a non abs da integra. Had it nstalled and the results have been giving me trouble. Do I need a 40/40 pro valve? I'm confused and couldn't find any specific answer. I'm aware that it is needed when doing a rear disc conversion.

So my question is, is it recommended to change to the 40/40 valve when upgrading to an Integra MC and booster?
And I don't have rear disk, just drums. The pedal is soft and spongy after the conversion. Also performed bench bleed.

Thanks,

Are the parts new? you should try bleeding the system a bit more before being able to rule out a bad MC.

No 4040 unless you decide to ditch the drums.

agree. even if you had done a disc swap it shouldnt feel like it giving you "problems" if you still had the old prop valve on

Right on guys, thanks!
No I bought the parts off Craigslist. They're not OEM, genuine. but I hope that they're still in good working condition, compared to if I had got a set from the yards.

I think I have found the culprit, found out that one drums wasn't put together correct from the previous owner. The main tension spring wasn't placed in the correct fitting. And one of the wheel cylinder was leaking. I hope replacing the cylinder wheel will be my only problem and air bubbles. Haha..
