Pretty excited about my latest mod...tracked down a working EX cluster to put into my DX. And also swapped back in my original odometer to keep my original [low] miles. Can't believe I didn't do this sooner! Best $60 I've spent.

It reminds me of when I did my first mod - it was something similar - and yeah, it's a great feeling!

 

That's a good price. The manual clusters are getting harder to find and $$.

 

That was the first thing I did in my civic, couldn't stand not having a tach

 

If you wanted to color match....find a M/T CRV cluster and sell that EX one. CRV clusters light up AMBER in case you didn't know.

 

One of the 1st things I do on every honda I have had is swap out the cluster. Good job dude

 

Thanks for the props guys...I considered doing the CRV swap but my goal is to keep my car as OEM as possible. Trying to get all the options the EX came with (except moonroof)...still trying to hunt down the center armrest!

 

I did the same thing a couple months ago. It was a great investment! I still want to go pull a tach out that has the correct redline for my car, but people swarm on a new Civic at my local junkyard like buzzards to a fresh kill lol

 

Ha that's the second thing I did. Found mine at a pull apart junk yard, also check for part out cars on Craigslist.

 

TBH, I had a hard time locating a M/T CRV cluster. I guess you can say that I lucked out. Found it on ebay for a decent price. SI cluster was something I didn't want because of course...my car wasn't an SI.
