Icon2 99 honda accord acceleration problem

i have a 99 v6 honda accord. when accelerating at low speeds it bogs down and then surges after a few seconds. it doesnt do this at high speeds only low. over the past couple years i have done the following: replaced EGR, cleaned EGR paths, replaced spark plugs and wires, new ignition switch, new main relay, new distributor cap, cleaned throttle body, new fuel pump and filter. not sure where to start now

It sounds like you're throwing parts at the problem, a practice which can often cause more issue than it solves. Have you had the codes read? If so, where do they point?

Stop by a parts store and have them scan for codes.

I have a 2000 accord v6, and have been having the same problem for a year know. I have changed the spark plugs, seafoamed the intake, and cleaned the throttle. I understand is may a need for a new PCM and fuel pressure regulator. Any TSB on this? We are not the only ones.

What has led you to this conclusion?

I do. Why are you suggesting I'm barking up the wrong tree? What are your thoughts? Did I mention my SRS light has been on for 4 years and I have reset it and the dealership has as well multiple times. My problem may also be the PCM.

The first thing to do is to get your car scanned for codes. If nothing shows up, first thing you could do is replace the oxygen sensor if you have never replaced it before.

Unless I read it wrong, the main thrust of SB 00-024 was to correct a warm restart/heat soak issue where the engine ran perfectly following a cold start and perfectly well once the engine had been running for a few minutes following a heat soak restart. I don't recall you mentioning these symptoms.

You are correct. I was just trying to post some options. The first website suggests the fpr and computer and the other they have the heat soak problem. Just trying to help, but I see your point of view. My offerings aren't conclusive but offer a solution to another problem. What are your suggestions to this situation? I did replace my upstream and down stream sensors last winter.

I'm thinking we're to the point where it will be very difficult to diagnose this issue over the internet; might be time to consider a professional technicial.
