i have a curious question about whether or not the 7th gen civic motors' mounting points are the same as previous civics' mounting points.
im only referring to the D series motors though.... if anyone can shed some light, i would very much appreciate it.

Are you referring to chassis-side mounting points or drivetrain-side mounting points? Because the chassis-side mounts are quite different. I do not know if there is any similarities in the drivetrain-side mounts.

For what purpose is the inquiry? The previous generation D-series engines won't work quite as well in the 7th gen.'s due to some different sensors, coil on plug, and other D17-unique features.

 

Thinkin about buying my motor back from my
Insurance company, after a wreck and installing it in a classic mini cooper body. So far it isn't lookin plausible.

 

I'd advise purchasing a D16Y8 or Z6, if that's the case. They're far more feasible platforms for that idea.
