Default How to Replace Oil Pressure Sender

Hey guys how it going. I just found out I had a leak in my oil pressure sender. It has to be because the oil filter had oil streaming down it on both sides, as though something directly above it was leaking on it (oil sender). So anyways, how do I go about replacing this part? Its a 91' accord btw.

I know you gotta take the oil filter off and get a socket for the oil sender, but what I am uncertain about is removing the unit from the actual wire. Does it just pull out or what?

Thanks in advance.

Mr. Kilmer over here says it just unconnects from the sender but is this true? he's working on an accord:

Default Re: How to Replace Oil Pressure Sender

Just got done replacing the switch with a BWD one from Advance. I have have heard that the leaks usually come from the sender itself and not the threads; is this actually true? I don't see how it could leak from the sender itself.

In terms of the threads I didn't put any teflon tape on the new one since it already came with an sealant from the factory. Like this,

But should I be concerned about the threads leaking or the sender itself?
