hey guys. threw a rod in my 1990 si hatch with the d16 a6, got my eyes on a replacement engine out of a 1989 a6 with 100k miles. Is there any difference between the 89 and 90 a6 motors in the si or will the swap go smooth as glass?

 

No difference. Oddball would be the 88 version.
