My friend has a 93 lowered with 18" but it rubs bad & he is always replacing his Tires. Not recommended .

You'll need to give us the width of the wheels before an accurate answer can be provided. That said, eighteen inch wheels are, as a general rule, rather wider than the factory wheels, and unless you're going to "stretch" a set of narrow tires (a dumb idea IMHO), then your eighteen inch setup will be HIGHLY likely to rub.

Edit:
I did a little research and see that if your rims are either 7.5" or 8.0" or even narrower (the "narrower" bit is unlikely), and you mount 215/40 R18 tires on them, AND you increase your ride height back to factory stock, then you can probably run your new rims with no rubbing.

Edit #2: If you opt for the 215/40 R18 tires, then be aware that your sidewall height will be under 3.5 inches, and that means that any decent size pot hole, expansion joint, rail crossing, or other road irregularity, will most likely ruin a tire and/or bend a rim.

I recommend 215 35 18 (if you must go 18") the 215 40 18 that @shipo suggested will work too, but are much more expensive & not easy to get on the spot should you need to get one asap.

Hmmm, per the TireRack web site, there are only 12 215/35 R18 tires in their inventory; however, there are 16 215/40 R18 tires.

Two additional problems with the 215/35 R18s:
  1. These tires have a smaller circumference, and as such will induce speedometer and odometer error (i.e. the speedo will read high for any given speed and the odometer will log more miles than actually driven), and
  2. the already short sidewall of the 215/40 R18s will be even shorter, thus making the wheels and tires even more susceptible to damage.

ok they are 7.5 wide with a offset of +40 idc about the speedo loging more miles its a 93but as for potholes the roads here in tennesse suck so i may try to trade them for a set of 17 the 18" are ncw brand wheels black with chrome lips and accents on the spokes. i like them but i dont want to bust a wheel with all the bad roads here in chattanooga. ty for the insite.
