Default Rear heat shield (behind manifold) on 93 Civic DX?

I was browsing through my service manual the other day looking for torque specs, and I happened to come across a diagram showing a REAR heat shield located behind the exhaust manifold. My car definitely did NOT come with this when I bought it, but then again I bought it used. Was this only included on some trim levels, or is this something I should have on my car?

My B16 has one and I think the B8 before it did too, not sure about my Y7.

Those manifolds come kinda close to the block, not a bad idea to have it and it might not be a bad idea to not have it. Most aftermarket headers don't have them, but are also usually spaced away a little.

I wouldn't loose sleep over this

Don't worry about it.

I've driven the car for 3 years without it with no negative impacts. I'm not sweating it.

The main reason I ask is that I'm in the process of restoring the car, so if it was supposed to have one, then I'll head down to the junkyard and see if i can find one in good shape. I just got done repainting the front heat shield, and I've got some primer/paint left over... seems like a perfect use for it, to me. :D
