Default Moog Front Wheel Bearing

Any have issues with the rotor not fitting over a new Moog bearing? I thought it was the rotor at first, so I tried to fit the old rotor on and no dice. I have a duralast bearing on the other side that fits just fine.

The outer edges of the bearing assembly is just a bit too large for the rotor to fit over. Thinking of taking a dremel to the edge of the bearing to make enough room.

Got the part from Rockauto and I'll be contacting them today. Part is listed as one of their most popular parts, so I thought it was odd.

Take a picture and post it up. I think the wheel bearing is assymetrical, if it was pressed on backwards one of the ears is larger than the other. The machined portion of the bearing mounting surface should be facing away from the hub flange.

I'll snap a pic when I get home. Can't forget that since I had to cut the race off the hubs during removal, that was fun...

You are right, one side of the mount ears are larger than the other side. Almost looks like a 'W' if you were to trace point to point. Rotor mounting surface is the same at every lobe. I played with rotating it hoping one side's tolerance was smaller than another, but not luck.

Attached picture from RockAuto. My brain is spinning now, but if I remember correctly the side of the bearing pictured below faces away from the hub.

Pictures of the bearing and how the rotor won't fit. I will be taking a drum grinder to the ears tonight.

Forgot to update this in case someone else runs into the same casting issue. Used these attachments to my air dremmel to grind down the ears a bit. Didn't take long to get the fit I needed. These are a good choice as apposed to grinding which may leave a rough surface and they also give the opportunity to remove the minimal amount of material.
