Default Build or Swap after 300k?

So I recently just approached 300K (300,249 to be exact) on my 97 SE, I need you guys opinion. This Saturday, I'll be replacing my timing belt & getting a decent tuning, hoping to extend the life of my cd5. After this, I want to consider some mods. What is my best option based on my current mileage? F22b2 build or H22 swap? Thanks!

id recommend to stop spending money on this car, other then whats absolutely needed to keep it running and at that spend as little as possible , like you say the car has over 300 thousand miles on it, so it isnt worth much money at all, so any money you spend on it, you are going to loose

i never wonder in this section but i noticed 300k and had to click the thread.

all i can say is write out the costs of what it all will be. the jdm engine swap, the suspension etc. take that number along with what your car is worth as is and ask yourself if you would rather have a different car for that price. i'm ballparking your total at 6k

for 6k you could get a jdm itr swapped 94-01 integra

early wrx in good condition

and more.

in short, look at the big picture before you start spending.

something like this will probably change hands around 6k in cash.

what would you rather have. your 300k mile accord or this?

If it is sentimental (as mine is) Then I would build. I am never getting rid of my accord. EVAR!!! I have 225k miles and am in the same boat. I have another car already so i'm on the fence about it.

I think im going to put arp headstuds and a cometic headgasket on mine and boost it. That is if the compression test comes back good. The car has seen over 3500k rpm's maybe 10 times in its lifetime.

Put it up in the air and have a good look around. I imagine all your bushings are shot, not to worry, factory parts are rather cheap, and will suffice. You may also have a properly serviced car, and have had all the control arms, sway bar links, and ball joints etc replaced and up to par.

I'd say build. Don't swap until you have to.
