OK Long Story short bought a civic off of craigslist, motor sounded great when i bought it but 2 months later we sling a rod through the block....Traded a different project truck I had for a Civic parts car, same motor so if I take the D16 block will another head combination give me better results than or Is there even another head combonation that will even bolt on to the block.....Need help, please advise.

you could put a d16z6 head on the y8 block out of the parts car...
it aint going to make any difference though.
Pull the parts car engine, drop in your civic and call it a day.
do the maint on the eng your about to throw in...timing belt/water pump/etc prior to swap
