91 EF, no cel light at all when ignition is turned. Help?
I need advice on where to start trouble shooting first on my 91 obd0 ef. I have the "DOOR and "brake" light come on the dash when I turn the key to accessory but no engine light or pump priming. the motor is not in the car, I'm working on swaping a 91 LS obd0 motor in the car. I do have a obd0 wire harness wired in the car I bought from swap shop racing.(I followed all the directions correctly) Just search youtube:" SSR dual point to multipoint injection harness." The battery is good, it has 12.68 volts. before this point with the battery hooked up I did not get any dash lights,,, I cleaned the ground from the battery to the frame and now I just get the two lights. I soldered the main relay where it was cracked and still nothing. SHould I put the engine in so all the connections are connected? Thanks in advance for the help.
Is the ECU installed? If not, the CEL would not turn on.
The fuel pump should not run without the engine installed because this means that the G101 ground on the thermostat housing is not connected.

are you sure the bulb wasnt pulled out of the cluster before u even got the car... alot of people will pull them if they have a CEL (for trade or sell purposes) it sucks but people do it
fuel pump wont kick on til engine is installed
and are u sure the ECU is good?

The bulb in the cluster was there but I changed it too. This also happens with the original dual point injection ECU, and the 91 LS obd0 ECU. Both ECU's worked fine with no codes, (I drove both cars before I pulled them apart). THanks everyone for the help, I will post an update when I get the motor in this weekend.
....update, I got the block and transmission in, but I got rained out. and I had to find a bracket I was missing too ( I don't have my garage finished yet) I do need to know how to connect the speed sensor on the Manual transmission to the car. Any advice?
