you want a heat range 7 on your motor. 4644 a.k.a BKR7E is what you want for a boost application.

What did you end up getting? I need a tune up on my 96 Ls too. Im thinking of getting ngk spark plug wires and ngk IX iridium spark plugs. But not sure where to buy the wires at. Do autozone carry it?

Check the link I posted, don't waste your money on off brand wires. Ngk copper or platinum Are both fine.
