Default Stuff/parts you carry on roadtrips

Getting the CRX ready for some long roadtrips here in the near future and I was curious as to what parts you take along just in case.

And/or what parts commonly start going back on a stock EF?

i carry the basics. basic tool kit which includes some screwdrivers, a socket set, a ratchet, some extensions, and some boxed end wrenches. along with that i also bring at least one quart of oil and a gallon of coolant, some rags, a couple spare bolts, a jack and lug wrench, and some silicone.

i would also pack some jumper cables, some flares, a first aid kit, some blankets, and make sure your spare is aired up.

I guess I was thinking more along the lines of having a main relay, fuel pump, alternator, starter... etc

180k on my stock 'rex but she doesn't leak or burn a drop of oil... It's all the other 20+ y/o parts that I'm thinking of carrying around with me just in case.

I guess if you don't mind spending the money, you could always have a spare alternator and starter, possibly a battery on hand.

Or just make sure you do a tune up and replace all the parts like starter, alt, battery and use good quality parts. Duralast, energizer, interstate, napa are all very good batterys. OEM starter and alts are very good, Napa has good stuff too just get there gold line, Do a timming belt and water pump also GM makes a Very very good fuel injector cleaner but is alittle pricey.

Distributer or at least a coil! I drove from California to Missouri and back. I carried basic tools, dizzy and an alternator just in case. I had no issues. Also did a major tune up before i departed.
