Default Idle problems with swap and chipped p28

00 Accord H23a vtec with chipped p28 h22 basemap.

So when I plugged in the p28 the idle revs up and down, also sounds like it is sucking in too much air.

Then I put my fingers over both holes in throttle body letting some air through and sounded like it idled fine.

SO what would cause the engine to suck in too much air?

also the idle control screw didn't come on the throttle bode and isn't threaded to put on in.

IACV compensation % is turned off/out of adjustment or the idle ECT & IAT compensation tables could be a bit off in the H22 basemap.

Have you been able to get the engine up to operating temperature? If so how does it run when it's up to temp?

Edit, are you using a 2 or 3 wire IACV? The P28 is only wired for a 2 wire IACV. If you are running a 3 wire you would have to convert to a 2 wire in order to have a functioning IACV w/P28 ECU.

Depends on how you are going to mount it.

You are going to have to fabricate or buy a 3 wire to 2 wire mounting adapter plate. If I'm not mistaken the ones available for purchase are for the 2 wire H22 IACV. If you are going to be making your own mounting/adapter plate. You can choose the 2 wire IACV that you want to run. Then make the appropriate adapter. There are different mounting positions and there are IACV's with coolant barbs that bend in different directions from the IACV.

What about the BlackTrax adapter. Would that work?

That is what we were talking bout. If you use that one then you need an H22 IACV. I'm not sure if the H23A VTEC is the same or not......

However, if you have any fab skills and a couple tools you can make one yourself for next to nothing. Then you can choose whatever IACV you want. The H22 IACV hose barbs can get in the way of some TPS sensors. Not sure about the H23 VTEC though.

I bought mine for an F23A1, so if the H23 uses the same IACV then it should work. Or so says BlackTrax. They only make one adapter.
