Icon2 Del sol transtop help

hi i have a 96 del sol esi and need help with the transtop

it all works fine but after the boot raises up and the roof raises up the bars exstend and slide into the roof fine but you then have to like hold the roof up so it presses the button to send it into the boot, ive seen them working without having to do this and just wondering if i could get some help.

British to American terms:

boot = trunk
roof = top of convertible

I don't know what the transtop is. Moveable part of the roof?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_C...l_Sol#TransTop

The transTop is an electronic mechanism that moved the targa tops into the trunk automagically.

OP, start off by lubricating the rails, and making sure the top is sliding smoothly. Also, check the rail motor - it might just be worn out, similar to how window motors wear out and stop or slow down.
