I have a 97 Honda Accord LX, 4 cyl. Yesterday my speedometer was going haywire and then went to 0, shortly after that my check engine light came on and shortly after that the car was studdering. What could the problem be and are they are connected or is it separate issues?

Your issue is with your Vehicle Speed Sensor, its only one bolt that is holding it down to the transmission. Easy to change, and shouldn't be too expensive.
