Default Oil leak/gear ratio/cat questions...its old after all

I’ve got a 96 F22B1 with oil leaks galore. I’ve maintained and babied her and replaced every single oil seal over the years…but now I suspect that either my rear main or the rear plate (right side cover) that’s merely liquid gasketed is leaking. Here recently I’ve replaced the oil pan gasket, VTEC solenoid filter gasket and 0-ring, distributor o-ring, valve cover gasket, and oil pressure switch and I’m still leaking pretty badly. The oil pressure switch was for sure leaking on the backside as was the VTEC solenoid but I’ve still got oil leaking onto the exhaust and off the transmission…gotta put it on jackstands and take another look. I let it run at 3k rpm to operating temp on the stands and didn’t get a drop…put it on the road and I got oil everywhere!!! In a somewhat related issue my 5th gear synchro is shot (couldn’t get it into reverse and had limited time/money to fix it…ground the burr off the gears and put it back together like 8 years ago but synchro was gone) and I was looking at replacing all the tranny seals and replacing the synchros/clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing. I remember from years ago that the H and F series gears are interchangeable…finally found some gear ratios but my understanding/knowledge is limited. Am I correct in saying that I already have as efficient a 5th/final gear as I can possibly get and if not would my F series synchros even work with that H series?

My exhaust is also rusting away…I’ve been getting a P0440 code (fuel system insufficient flow I think it is) intermittently for a while and getting 18-24 mpg whereas I used to get 30 easy. My catback exhaust pipe has multiple holes and I’ve got a stainless ebay catback exhaust coming which I’m praying isn’t too loud or at least bolts to my newer factory muffler. After watching the live data I suspect I’m going to end up replacing my downstream 02 sensor and/or rusty catalytic converter entirely. What has been your experience with so called “high flow” cats off ebay? I’d rather run a straight pipe but I’ve never done it on an OBDII and didn’t know what it would do to my already low gas mileage.
While on ebay I also saw a number of gas saving mods…any of those temp/MAP sensor mods actually work or just another gimmick? Thanks in advance

ebay cat your asking for a failure, if your cat isnt pluged dont worry about it... map mods dont work and can make you run lean. On obd 2 you remove the cat you will run in limp mode all the time and be a waste. Just replace your exhaust and leave everything as is and do some test.
