I have spent a good 30 hours trying to figure this out. The jist of the problem, no gauge cluster lights or reverse lights. My climate control lights, clock, defrost light all work and dim...

Here is what I have done so far:

Tried jumping the dimmer...nothing (remind you, dimmer works for climate lights)
checked, replaced, DMM'd #19 fuse. It's good
checked #19 fuse box input: I have 12 volts
replaced a couple lights in gauge cluster...still nothing
"back up" fuse under the hood is good,
"reverse light" fuse under dash is good...
tried a new dash harness...same thing, no lights

I can't say for certain because it's been like 2 years since I've driven at night, but I do believe they all worked before

I need help guys!

 

for dash light you replace the dash light swith or dash. for reverse light there is a button inside the gear box that needs to be replaced if reverse light dont come on when switched to reverse.

There's more to the reverse lights than just that switch. OP, assuming you have a MT, check out my old thread where I had a similar problem. The solution probably won't be the same, but RonJ went through the full diagnostic procedure for reverse lights with me. Go through it, and see if it helps you out.
