Default 01 Type SH Coil Over install?

I have searched, and searched, and searched all over, now to the point where I just signed up here to figure this out. I can't find a write up on 5th gen type sh coil over installs. Anyone?

Actually, I found one for a base, but heres my question. do you absolutely have to take the lower ball joint out? or can you undo the upper control arm mount, and have the suspension drop more with that?

I think its really difficult to remove the strut/spring without taking off the ball joint. but ive heard if you position it out just right it will come out with no balljoint work. Ive gotta do mine soon so im interested if any1 had more info on this

Yeah I plan on doing mine tomorrow. I'd rather not have to pay to have the ball joint taken out.

You DO NOT have to separare the lower balljoint from the lower control arm on the front to swap the shocks. For the rear though, you DO have to separate the upper balljoint from the knuckle.
