Default Break caliper refurbish

Hi.
I want refurbish my break caliper kit but i have some problem - after disasembling calipers i leave it in my garage over 6 month and when i want start rebuild i see some rust inside of caliper body...
So my questions:
1. How i can clean inside of caliper? I know inside of caliper can be honed by special toolб but after using this tool piston-to-cylinder wall clearance increase and i dont know how much i can honed? So what clearancepiston-to-cylinder is normal?
2. I need use oversized piston after honing or not?
3. Before hone i need shot or soda blasting inside of calipers?

P.S.: break system is LUCAS 282mm front and 262mm rear.
P.S.S.: guys, sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand what i want to know

Have you tried clean the caliper bore with some breakclean and a rag?

If not, a hone will do the trick. As far as the oversized pistons, I've never heard of such a thing.

You could definetly have the calipers blasted if you'd like. With a little time/paint they will look good as new.

This thread reminded me to check mine. They have been sitting in my garage torn apart for a few months. lol

good luck.

Scotch bright would do it. I used it to clean mine in that area and the groove on the piston.

Spray some break clean on it aswell. But make sure to only use it on the grooves.

Unless they are really nasty it shouldn't take much to clean them.

Insides of caliper (bore where piston work and piston seal groove) corroded after half year disasembled in my garage. Rust can't be cleaned with break cleaner and scotch bright or sandpaper, i try to clean it but after cleaning in bore stay white stains...
Now i want go in shot blasting cabinet and clean caliper inside and outside, then spray them with hi-temp paint and hone inside of caliper bore, but after shotblasting surface is matt i can hone bore where piston work, but can't groove where seal sit (hone tool bigger that groove), but i try use scotch bright, i think all be ok. But maybe don't need polish groove after shotblasting? Leave the mattr surface at all?

They have special chemicals at auto zone to take out the rusts. On the other hand, I have like two extra sets of front calipers. One for DA and another for EG, interested? LMK. hehehe
