Default My 00 GSR project.

Whats up guys.. here a little info about my GSR. I purchased my gsr about 3 months ago for under 5k. It came out of austin tx from an original owner. Never molested, no modifications, clean title, completly stock. Prior owner provited maitenance records from the last 6 years. This is a diamond in the dirt! and i found it

Year:2000
Model: GSR
Engine: Stock B18C1
Miles: 152,201
Interior: Black Leather
Suspension: Stock
Rims: Stock GSR Blades
CEL ( check engine light ): No codes dected. Did a full diagnostic

I didnt get a chance to take pictures before we started body work , but i can say that when i purchased my GSR it was a 7 out of 10 due to minor dings and dents and a faded hood due to the sun.

Heres the begining of the body work process. Shout out to my homie MIKE and GUS for helping me out on the process.
HERE WE GO:

We are only applying small amounts of bondo to the dings we couldnt get out. We are still not done with cheese grading the bondo, sanding it down, and blocking it. Primer will follow as we continue to finish the areas that are in need of attention. No major dents, no rust, nothing major is wrong with the body so far and it looks straight. In our surprise there hasnt been any prior body work done by the privious owner.

More picture due to come as project continues, Thanks for looking..

i found it in the dirt... but Yeah i got plans for it. First off finish the body and paint then next is building suspension, brakes, exhaust sytem, and minor all motor modifications. Interior i plan to keep it stock and remove the tint. Keeping GSR twist blades. I have purhased a lot of OEM maintenance parts like , water pump, thermostat, oil pump, timing belt, belts, hoses, and gaskets. as we do the body work we will be doing some over hauling on the engine and cooling system.

well its been a while but here are some pictures (update) i took when the car was headed to paint and finished with paint. Its about 90% done just waiting on some OEM emblem, clips, moldings, antenna etc. parts to complete the outside.

Thanks for the advice and comment, i will be installing levels of security. I do have a few now, but a couple more wouldn't hurt. I will keep this thread updated as my project continues..

UPDATE: So yesterday I got in the vtec solenoid seal, gasket screen, cam plug and valve cover gasket with grommets. Everything is from Honda except the valve cover gasket.

So it had a small leak by the vtec solenoid that's why I decided to replace the gasket and seal. There's more work to be done as I plan to restore and replace a lot of parts. Once I'm done with the important things like maintenance and replacing engine components then I will be upgrading suspension, control arms, tie bars etc.. All the goodies basically.
