Can I use accord parts to swap a 98 base prelude to a manual tranny?
I run a towing service and just got a 98 automatic base prelude for towing and storage fees. The car is a automatic and I plan on turning it into a road race/circle track car. I was wondering if parts like the clutch master cylinder, pedals, shifter etc etc off a manual accord will work, I know alot of parts on the two cars interchange. Iam going to get a prelude trans, ecu and clutch kit so it has the correct gearing. Another question I have is the immobilzer system, can I hook this car up to a push button start with out the key? I have a very good mechanic who is going to perform the work for me, but I want to bring him all the right parts the first time. Thanks for the help, I'm a total noob!
What year is the Accord? If its an H or F series engine then the trans will bolt right up and the pieces that bolt onto the tranny like slave cyl and vss, ect should work. Not sure about the pedals and other stuff, may take some modification to get it to fit right
