IMHO, running premium grade fuel in a d16z6 is a complete waste of money!

The tried and true intake/header/exhaust mods will help SLIGHTLY!

At the end of the day, it will STILL be a torqueless Honda. You can't polish a turd.

No offence intended, I own one as well.

Cheers, Senior Sol

Nothing Vin Diesel. You bought a grocery getter. If you're not willing to invest a lot of time and money, give up your dreams of being fast and furious.

Check the link in my signature about making your Civic go fast.

I have to agree with Grumble and Senior Sol.
The only way to make that faster is to put the car on a diet... IE race car!

I was looking at a d16z6 boosted. After the few comments I read I am having second thoughts.

If you could buy a 96 Integra gsr with a built b18c1, or a boosted 95 civic with the d16z6. Which would you get. Both in great condition?

Thanks for any feedback

thread jack much? i havent heard any complaints form people i know who own and drive the z6. most say they are a great turbo platform. its a single cam either way, it wont have instant hp like a b series. but if you spend your money right you can make it quick. i personally want a b18c5. but im just going to stick with my z6.

I would leave it alone. Use the car as a daily and then get something faster. The Z6 is a good motor, it will last a very long time with basic maint.

The b18c1 and then boost it myself. Never buy a used boosted car regardless of what you see, think, or what the owners tells you.
