My tach started to bounce ever since I missed 2nd and reved my engine high at the track i think it was close to 10k or so. its on a p28 ecu chipped with np rev limiter there is no cels also.it's an 98 ek with a gsr swap first it only did it a little but now it completely goes from 4k to 0 sometimes it works when I first start it but once it gets warmed up it starts acting up. Can somebody help me out. Thanks in advance.

 

When the tach bounce, its Prob the distributor,

 

Should I replace the whole dizzy or just the cap and rotor. Also I removed the cap and there was a little but of oil on the inside of the cap on tte bottom.

 

I'm not sure if the prob Is from the coil or igniter, so I wouldn't want u to just replace parts without knowing,,, mayb u can borrow a known good dizzy to try. B4 u go buy a new one Then decide if u wanna try n rebuild yours ,or get a remanufactured one,, but in the past. When me or friends had this prob. Changing the dizzy always fixed it,,
