Default Reserve and FI lights

Bought an 02 RC51 a couple of months ago and love it. The bike has two minor (although annoying where fuel consumption is concerned) problems. The FI light stays on whenever the bike is running and the reserve light doesn't function at all, again when the bike is running. The fuel warning light does blink twice, along with the rest of the LCD lighting, when the ignition is first turned on.

Anyone had, or heard of, any similar problems? I'm open to suggestions about fixes, etc.

Pardon any gaffs in posting this. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to any type of forum.

Have you checked for any codes? sounds like two different problems. Does it run good, is there a power commander installed? Could be alot of things, got pics of your bike?

Don't have pics yet, will get that taken care of soon. Got cut off last Wed. morning commuting to a work shop in down town Miami. Totalled my 88 FZR1000. Need a few more days to recup, nothing broken, cut left leg was between bumper and bike.

Yes, it has a PC, don't know what version but that should be easy to look up. Has a racing exhaust also. Not a name brand I'm familiar with so I don't remember the brand off the top of my head.

In terms of incident, gear did it's job. Could have been lots worse. Got the front fairing around the car, reactions aren't what they used to be. Twenty or thirty years ago I might have missed him...
