Are you saying that batt. goes dead, [loses power] when siting overnight or for long piriods of time without running?

Or do you mean it loses power when driving, [engine running]?

If it is the first, goes dead overnight, you have a "parasitic drain" or a bad batt.

You can use a 12V test light or a multimeter to test for parasitic drain...

If it is the second, the alt./batt. light should be on as the alt. is bad.

A charging system load test should be done, free at most batt./alt shops. 94

Tighten up the alt. and adjust it so belt is tight, no more then 1/2" of deflection.

Then hit up an alt./batt. shop for a load test. 94
