Default 2005 Honda civic lx coupe special edition
My car is a 4 speed automatic. So my question is what type of fuel should I put in my car because my manual says an octane of 86 or higher? So does this mean I have to put premium or midgrade gas in my car?

The engine is tuned on low octane fuel, and you could run the risk of detonation by running on anything other then that.

So which means I should put in regular gas. Well will mid grade gas mess it up or is it alright for me to put midgrade gas in my car

What is driving the desire for an alternative octane? If you're looking for a performance gain, you're not going to see any.

No I just got the car and I'm just trying to see what's the best octane to put in it. I already it doesn't need premium
