So, I just installed ARP extended studs on my 98 civic hatch. I have extended lug nuts too. I think they were buddy club but they're probably replicas or something. Anyway, when I went to put on my studs they went about 80% of the way down and wouldn't go any further. Almost like the threads were cut incorrectly. So my question is this. What lug nuts do you run with your ARP studs??

 

Are you sure your lug nuts arent bottoming out because your studs are too long?

Were you forcing the lug nut on before it bottomed out at 80%? They should thread on easily, almost sounds like either the lugs, or the studs are 12x1.25 rather than the correct 12x1.5 thread pitch

 

^x2! make sure they are the same thread. if you have used those lug nuts before on the original studs, then the arp's are probably the wrong size

 

when i did my arp extended studs my blackworks extended lugs had a hard time goin on.. i put them on and took off a couple times and now they go on smooth with out a problem
few of my friends had same problem and fixed it that way
