Is there any companys that make carbon fiber............
I am looking for a front lower lip for my 1991 civic si hatch.... I really like my buddys fiber images CF front lip on his Eg.... is there any CF front lips available for the Ef or any kinda lips for that matter????
search can show you the many times we have talked about this. Many people have proposed making one, but no company makes one specifically for the 4g. Apparently the EG lip can fit with modification.
Just buy the stock lip for your EF and just get it covered in carbon fiber. There's a shop in SC that does it pretty good and cheap to. The website is carbonfibermanufacturing.com, email Kenny he's the owner.
there is one here...maybe it will work?

What most people don't think about is that most manufacturers that make carbon fiber items (like hoods) don't use the same methods as a manufacturer that builds aerospace or formula 1 parts. Ya, it's the same material, but the process is a "short change" from doing it "correct".
When an formula 1 part is made, the item is layed up under pressure that forces out the extra epoxy that is used. This isn't easy to do, but is the only way that you will get the full advantage of a carbon fiber item!! This is some times called "bagging".
If you are willing to forget about bagging the item, it's not any more difficult than building a fiberglass item!!!!!
There is a book that I'd recommend to anybody interested in Carbon Fiber. It's titled "Fiberglass & Composite Materials" and is written by Forbes Aird. The book is worth it just so an individual knows what he is buying.
If you want to know about mold making, then the book to get is "the prop builder's Molding & Casting Handbook" by Thurston James. It's geared towards the "special effects" industry, but is about the best I've ever seen.

i am in the process of thinking out some parts to make in CF. will be using bidirectional CF cloth or maybe S-class fiberglass. CF and FG manufacturing is a pain in the **** JFYI.
