This is probably going to sound stupid, but what do you guys mean when you post "bump" on a thread? What the heck is that? I've never seen that before and I can't figure it out in context. Maybe it's a saying uncommon around here.

Spank me also if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find reference to an explination when I searched...

Bump and TTT (to the top) replies move a thread higher on the view list, increasing the chances that someone will see it and reply.
