Default Water LEAK when it rains!!

My car went through its first rain today, and sure as ****. My EF leaks.

I noticed some droplets coming down on the drivers side, they were coming out of the rear interior plastic, right where the hatch strut meets the body of the car, the water was pooling up in the cutout for the strut mount, and dripping on the back seat.

Where would this leak be coming from? Is there some sort of drain that could be leaking? The car doesnt have a sunroof, but this hatch isnt factory, so Im not sure if maybe its leaking where the hatch bolts to the body.

I may be paranoid, but sometimes I think I hear excessive wind noise from the hatch seal area.

How would you guys deal with this?? oh and BTW, my rear taillight also filled about 1/2" with water in less than 2 hours of rain, guess Ill be pulling that out and re-sealing it

Well I've learned the hard way Flex Seal is garbage. So don't try that to fix leaks.

Learning how this car is made. I believe the leak IS coming from the hatch door. Especially since you don't have a sunroof.

I'd simply look for a factory hatch. Or at least figure out where the design of your aftermarket hatch is compared to the OEM one.

How is the gasket around the hatchdoor?

It is an OEM hatch, it just isnt the one that came on the car from the factory

The hatch seal is in good healthy condition, not dried out or rotted anywere, and is seated in the groove perfectly all the way around

Yea once I lost my factory targa on my Sol I started getting leaks. ******* **** off.

I tried my best in helping. All I have left to say is use food coloring or colored chalk dust in some water. and pour it over the hatch. At least you'll see where the water is coming from.
