Are 16" JDM ITR 98 spec wheels suppose to sit flush?
Its too hard to get a picture, but i purchased some JDM ITR 16" wheels (5x114.3) for my ITR, and there is a about a 5mm gap when they sit against the hub..
Does anyone know if they are suppose to sit flush against the hub?
Thanks

I had the same issue with a set many many years ago. Take a ziz wheels and smooth out the ring on the hub where the axle nut goes in and it should fit flush.
hope this helps.

Well thats weird, my other wheels i had on there sit flush, so if i sand the hubs, they wont sit properly if i ever had to switch back to my old rims.

This gap is consistant on all sides of the car..

Can you take a clearer image of the gap from a top level view?
Do all the JDM ITR wheels have this gap on all four corners of the car?

Yes the gap is consistent around all corners. I got under the car, turned the wheel around and the gap is consistant as the hub rotates. I cant fit the camera through the spokes to get a top view.
Ok guys it seems they sit fine, took it for a long drive. No issues.
What are peoples thoughts running 50 profile tyre at the back and 45 at the front?

Why do you want to have different profiles ?
If you can get 45 series, the best tire I have run on the same rim was a 215/45, otherwise, stick with a 205/50 on all corners.

Because it is too high, and the front scrubs with 50 profile. I have 2 45 profile tyres in good nick i can stick at the front and just leave the 50s on the back.
With 16'' tire selections being slim, most tire companies will make a 205/45 or a 215/45. I wouldn't recommend a mismatched setup but if you need to get by, do what you need to do. You may have a humming from the different tire diameters though.
