So i've removed the engine and still have the harness in the car. I've got the battery plugged in and the harness ground hooked up to the body. The cluster shows check engine flashing, but nothing else works. Anyone have any tricks to getting the windows to work?
Only trick I know is to take the door panel off, unplug the window motor connector and apply battery positive to 1 terminal and battery negative to the other. If the window is going the wrong way then just reverse the wires. I usually use my cordless drill battery if it's not under the hood.
It wouldn't be one junction. It would be one connector, like the master switch connector in the driver's door.
BTW: It only takes 2-5 minutes to take a door panel off.
