Default car stumbles anywhere past half throttle?

so i've had this weird issue for a month or so

car runs fine, even at 70 with low to mid throttle no issues

but when i floor it, it stumbles and doesn't have the pull it should have

so, i replaced the fuel filter, cap , rotor, plugs, wires, timing belt, adjusted valves, ignition timing is spot on

all of this actually made it worse

soooooo, my guess is the more complete burn due to tune up is making it want fuel even more?

can a fuel pump work fine with little demand but not work the way it should upon high demand?

burned valves? clogged cat? egr? o2 sensor?

i have no cel, but i'm assuming it works properly

i dunno, i'm stumped but it's a pia and was hoping someone else has been down this road

main relay is also only a couple years old

91 civic dx

Reset the ECU and then drive the car to see whether one, both, or none of the codes repeats.

Sounds very distributor failure-ish.

I'd drive it a bit more to see whether a code is thrown.

ok

i think i'm gonna replace dizzy anyhow, the cardone is only $130

and being the coil and igniter comes with it, i could eliminate a few possibilities

it does have 212k on it

is there a seal behind it like the cam seal on other side? all i see is an o ring on majestic dist blow up

there is alot of oil leakage from behind the diz

well, enough to coat the tranny underneath

There's an O-ring and an internal seal. Is there oil inside the distributor?

not that i noticed when i changed cap, but i didn't shine a light in the crevices either

so there is no other seal other than the o ring that comes on the diz?

Remove the inner cover and look inside the distributor for oil.

There is an o-ring on the shaft. Sounds like your ignitor might be failing.

That's an O-ring issue.

bueller?

anyhow, this dist should only fit in one way so there is no reason to have motor at tdc , correct?

also, in the event this doesn't work i was looking at the fi system, there is a primary and auxiliary injector

is the purpose of the aux injector to provide more fuel when the demand increases?

just as well, oil seal was leaking and i need this car to last 3 yrs, so at least i'll have a new ignitor etc
