Wife drove her 2005 CRV to another town today (~45 minutes) and then turned the car off and it wouldn't turn back on. No power, no clicking, nada.

Mall security jumps the car on the first try and she is fine getting back home. Go to start it back up and the lights on the dash flicker, but no noise or anything. Then, when we turn the key backwards we hear a loud clicking sound from behind the glovebox. She said this hadn't happened earlier.

We haven't done much investigating beyond that, but does this sound common to anyone? We'd appreciate the help.

(The other aspect of the story, which may or may not be part of it, is that yesterday i drove the car and made a sharp turn and the AC/blower sounded like it was losing power but then came back up. Only the AC had turned itself off)

 

go to auto zone n get ur battery checked.....and alternator

 

That was my first thought, too. I am more just worried about the clicking when turning the car off. Just want to make sure we aren't doing damage to the engine or something.

 

dont know what the clicking could be but a quick search on google shows ac issues is a common problem...is it a loud click or a relay click noise?
