i would go with a 205/50/r15 nitto neogens for summer tires, great grippy tires. dont run the 205's if your sitting to low, you might get some rubbing on the wheel well

Yeah she is sitting quite low, any higher than 50 profile maybe look stupid on them.

stock itr wheels are only 6'' wide

205 is to wide, the car will feel sloppy, stick with a 195/50 car will feel better, and there is a far bigger tire selection in that size

195/50 is too small. 205/50 is the best size.

What is your application? The best tire for your needs may or may not be offered in 195/50, 195/55, or 205/50/15. What tires are you looking at purchasing?

Also, make sure you familiarize yourself with the tire size calculator:
http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.html

Most non-JDM market ITR's came with 195/55/15. Use the link above to estimate if your selected size will make a difference on your speedo.

195/50/15 will give you better acceleration and lower the car a tad...

195/55/15 is stock. A 205/50/15 will work just as well, but will be a bit 'sloppier' on a 6" OEM wheel. Sidewall height between the two are almost identical. Remember, sidewall height is a calculation and not a fixed amount.

Dunlop makes the Direzza Star Spec in a 195/55/15 and it is a fantastic tire for the OEM wheel (assuming you can run a summer-only tire all year or have snow tires for the winter).

I second this wholeheartedly! I've had these tires on My EvoX when I had it and I've got them on the R too. Decent in the rain too. I would definitely not recommend them for winter though.

I wouldn't recommend a tire from any summer category for inclement weather.

Ive had 195/55 and a 205/50 on mine.

There was not much difference except the better grip coming from the better brand of tire the 205 was.

Will be mounting my newly purchased 195/55/15 Goodyear Eagle GT tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Anyone interested in the purchase of nearly new Yokohama S Drives?

OEM ITR wheels are 15x6". Those who say otherwise are wrong.
