Sorry if this is not placed correctly and sorry if this topic has been beat to death but I was wondering if someone could point me towards the right place to find a good build/swap thread on getting an "LS Vtec" into an EG hatch?

(I apologize if my terminology is off, I want to put a 1.8L Vtec motor in an EG with a manual transmission ultimately)

Wow, I thought you'd understand sarcasm, especially considering I spelled it right in OP, twice...

I found a great thread on how to build an LS Vtec using this mythical search feature but what I'm looking for is help finding the right transmission to mate it to, wiring diagrams to retrofit it into an eg, maybe ek at this point...

Really a good, comprehensive build thread of someone placing this motor into a car. Figured someone would be excited to show me what they've done...

 

Where in the OP does it ask about transmissions? Amazing that in all of the internet you cannot locate a complete DIY on this oh-so common swap. You aren't the first to ask this question. Spoonfed/handheld much? I'm betting that if I waltzed into the Civic forum I could find this info right in the FAQ. Mainly because it's a tired and frequently asked question. Maybe YOU missed the sarcasm.

 

More like a barometer test because of all the complaining that goes on in VWvortex about how the VW scene is full of jerks/trolls. Glad to see its not confined to a brand.

The point of this exercise was to see how members of this particular community react to someone who politely asks for some help. I even went to the trouble of making a forum name including the word n00b to try and elicit any degree of sympathy

And amazingly, no one is jumping up and down to answer your tired question. Why? Because it's already been answered. You could have searched and found your answers instead of trying to start bromances. This is a forum. Not a chatroom. But wait. According to you, the purpose wasn't to actually get an answer to your question, only to see if you could induce people to "help" you if you played stupid. So if all you wanted to do was to see how many people you could get to say "how high" because you said "jump" you failed. If anyone is the troll here it's YOU.
