Default 23T vs 25T Caliper Brackets

I know there's been a lot of discussion about the differences between them, but so far I can't find the answer that I need.

First off, I know that the 23T is for a 23mm thick rotor and the 25T bracket is made for a 25mm thick bracket. Logically this means the "gap" in the bracket where the rotor fits will be a different width. However, what about the overall dimensions of the bracket? Are the two brackets the exact same casting but with a different size "gap"? Or are the actual castings of a different shape/size? Mainly I'm interested in knowing the overall width of the brackets.

I just installed some ITR calipers with 25T brackets (this is what they came with from Centric) and I'm having clearance issues with my 15x7 ET35 Enkei RPF1's (was planning to run a 10mm spacer, but even with a 15mm spacer I have contact between the caliper bracket and barrel, and I'm not sure if my tires will even clear my fenders w/ a 15mm spacer). I'm wondering if the 25T brackets are wider than the 23T and thus stick out further. If that is the case, then switching to the 23T brackets should at least help with my clearance problem.

I'm going to continue to do some searching but any input is greatly appreciated. I've got a track day on Saturday so I'm trying to solve this problem by then. Thank you.

even with the 35 offset? damn. been hearing issue's with everyone running a type r bbk and trying to fit rpf1's, but with issues.

hate to say it, but you might have to bite the bullet and buy a different set of rims. the issue isn't your brake setup, it's the way the rim was designed and made. the inner part of the rim (inner barrel), for some unknown reason, enki made those barrels really big. you'd have to run a crazy offset, spacers, or grind down the caliper.

Thanks, I'm well aware of it being a problem specific to the RPF1's and the design of their barrel. But that doesn't help answer my question. I want to know about the brackets so I can continue to figure out my options for both short term (get me on the track this weekend) and long term.

Regardless, I'm likely going to grind my current brackets just to get me on the track this weekend, but if 23T brackets will give me more clearance I'll look for set of those so that a more permanent solution might be to use the RPF1's but not have to grind the brackets as much (or at all?).

sorry for the no help on your question.

only thing i can say is if you can find someone and compare your bracket to theirs. cause even looking up just the parts, i couldn't help.

Yeah, I scoured as much as I could and there isn't any solid evidence out there. I did however talk to a friend who's pretty familiar with these parts and he said the two are exactly the same in regard to external shape/size. Since I haven't seen both parts in front of me I can't say that he's 100% right or not but I trust his opinion and I'm abandoning the idea of switching brackets.

I shaved the bracket and part of the caliper and with a 15mm spacer I've hopefully got enough clearance. Test drive went well but I'm not gonna get confident until it's OK on the track. I'll find out tomorrow

Sorry if I missed it, but where is the caliper hitting the wheel? If it is hitting it in the barrel of the wheel, then the clearance is related to caliper height, and a different bracket will not change that. Smaller brake setup, different wheel or possibly a wheel spacer (to put less of the drop center in the area where the caliper is) are your only real options.

If it is hitting in the pad area (where the bolt holes are), or the back of the spokes, then it might change with a different bracket, especially if the bracket is sticking out towards the face of the wheel. I doubt it will change much, but possibly.

How much is it hitting?
