What should I expect to pay for an 88+ Si?
If the price is right I think I might just pick up a CRX. I have about $5200 to work with and if I got a CRX I would be swapping in a B16 almost immediatly. What price range would I be looking at for a CRX with high miles but a good exterior/interior?
Well in Cali A decent crx that hasn't been **** on will run you about $4000. $5000-5500 would get you an immaculate one and sometimes one thats decent with a swap. $6000 on up and a crx will typically be swapped, spotless, and hooked up with some extra goodies.
damn 5 gs for a si that is alot nowdays... you could find one for 3 g arund here.. monterey bay all up to sf bay

my 90 civic si was $1,575. some minor hail damage but everything else was nice. low miles for an old school honda: 135,000. so i was pleased.
Man, Johnny, since Im your cult leader you should let me drive your SI... Ill hit at least a 15.8 I promise... LOL! Thats good times for it, but with a little better driving you could hit 15's easy... lower that baby and throw on the boost and you will own!
Ive gotten my last 3 for 1700,1800, and 2500 (with a blown engine but with a quaife LSD, AEM, bored TB, Mugen bushings, sways, pedals, and a bunch of extras) I bought them in IL, and WI. 1st was a little rusted. 2nd had no rear seats and the spedo didnt work. 3rd had a tad bit of rust but all those goodies.
My advice. Dont be afraid to take a road trip to get a solid car.

I live in California (Near Los Angeles) and paid 1800 for my 89 SI. It's a clean, complete, one owner, stock car. The only "problem" is that when I bought it, there was 300,000 miles on it. I don't care due to the fact that I'm planning on an LS engine (and trans) swap. What amazes me is that I've added another 8,000 miles on it and it still runs fine. I think that the fact that the original owner had ALL recommended dealer service done means a lot. (he gave me a very large stack of receipts that went all the way back to when it was new)

I'd expect to pay anywhere from $3000 to $5000 for a nice one (nice being no rust, no rips in the interior, and a good running engine). You might get away with spending less if you live in an area that doesn't salt the roads.
